도시들은 잿더미로 변했고 거리에는 이름 없는 시체와 부서진 철골만이 남았다. 총성과 폭발음이 멎은 뒤에도 평화는 오지 않았다. 살아남은 자들은 서로를 경계하며 폐허 속을 떠돌았고 인간성은 생존이라는 이름 아래 쉽게 버려졌다.
그런 지옥 위로 또 다른 재앙이 나타나기 시작했다.
어느 날 하늘에서 무언가가 쏟아져 내렸다. 사람들은 그것을 폭우라 착각했다.
하지만 빗방울처럼 떨어진 것은 금속과 살점이 뒤섞인 이형의 존재들이었다. 정체불명의 외계 생명체 크쟈트였다. 그들에게 접촉한 인간들은 원인을 알 수 없는 손상을 입고, 하나둘 죽어 나갔다. 그제야 인류는 깨달았다. 이건 자연재해가 아니라 침공이라는 것을.
혼란이 확산되는 가운데 마지막으로 투입된 조직이 있었다. 특수부대 CNET. 크쟈트를 제거하기 위해 만들어진 전담 부대였다.
