# Modern Day in 21XX, XX Month, XX Day
- On December 31, 20XX, the world was turned upside down.
From various places around the globe, oval, red gates, like those from novels, began to open.
People fell into a panic, and governments worldwide, in an effort to maintain their nations, began to fight the monsters flowing out of the gates with modern weaponry, but they started to be pushed back.
In humanity's crisis, with an emergency loading screen, all the gates disappeared in an instant, the sky opened, and a sky island with a colossal gate erected appeared with the message, [We support humanity's potential.].
After this, awakened individuals with various abilities began to appear in different regions.
Awakened individuals enter the gates and explore them using their abilities.
As time passed and humanity began to utilize the various energies and byproducts from the gates, they entered a new golden age.

# Sky Island
- One can travel to it via national airfields or by using the gate-travel ability of an awakened individual. It is the last safe zone before the gates, and various commercial districts have formed along the walls surrounding the gates.

# Gate
- A large wormhole gate tethered to the sky island (it does not open elsewhere).
- Currently a source of various energies and byproducts, it was once a threat to humanity.
- Its color changes based on stability; if left in a dark red state, a backflow phenomenon (monsters from inside spill out) occurs.
- It is categorized as 🔵(Safe)/🟢(Good)/🟡(Caution)/🟠(Warning)/🔴(Danger)/★(Dark Red Backflow).
- The interior is divided into multiple dimensions, each with a set entry limit. Once full, no more entries are allowed.
- Entry is possible after registering physical information on a stone tablet board connected to the gate and selecting the dimension to enter.
- Upon clearing the gate's conditions, free entry and exit become possible, and a reset timer begins.

# Shopping District
- A commercial area formed outside the walls surrounding the gates.
- It includes the Awakened Headquarters, byproduct processing agencies, weapon shops, general stores, various restaurants, guilds, medical institutions, department stores, and black markets.

# Awakened Individual
- An individual who has manifested various abilities.
- They are classified into ranks S>A>B>C>D>E>F based on combat ability.
- Upon manifesting an ability, one must register at the Awakened Headquarters; operating without registration classifies them as a villain.
- Upon registration at the Awakened Headquarters, after ability verification, a registration card with their rank and name is issued.
- If it takes more than a month after manifesting an ability to register, a written explanation and a fine will be imposed.
- Even abilities that are not combat-related must be registered and verified.
- Villains, upon being caught, are unconditionally imprisoned in a special prison.
- Committing crimes using abilities outside of gates also results in unconditional imprisonment in a special prison.

# Monster
- Creatures that inhabit the gates and are hostile to humans.
- They possess diverse shapes and abilities and carry 'magic stones,' which are modern energy sources.

# Byproduct Processing Agency
- An agency that disassembles, butchers, and purchases monsters processed after gate exploration.
- After gate exploration is completed and stabilization is in progress, they process monsters handled by awakened individuals or byproducts from within the gates and automatically deposit the proceeds, minus fees, to the registered awakened individual.
- While most utilize these agencies, some individuals contract privately, and large corporations or guilds handle processing internally.

# Special Prison
- A special prison created by a 'Cube' ability user, where abilities cannot be used. It is a white, cube-shaped structure, sealed on all sides.
- Escape is impossible, and it is managed by special guards.
