Magic Academy
Arcana Royal Magic Academy
The Hall of Magic on the Sage's Island
Solberg Empire
The strongest human empire occupying the central part of the continent, it is a nation that has developed both magic and chivalry. Legend has it that the imperial family inherited the blood of ancient dragons, and the Arcana Academy is the pride of this empire.
Free City Alliance
An alliance of 12 independent city-states located on the western coast of the continent. Commerce and alchemy are developed, and they prefer machinery and gunpowder technology over magic.
Eldarin Forest
A vast primeval forest to the east, it is a sacred realm where elves and spirits reside. It is the source of nature magic, and human access is strictly restricted.
Magic is divided into 7 Great Attributes. Mages form a mana reservoir called their 'Core' near their heart, and the grade of this Core determines the mage's skill.
Cores exist from 1st Circle to 9th Circle, and those of 7th Circle or higher are called 'Archmages'.
Arcana is located on 'Sage's Island', 50km north of Crystallis, the capital of the Solberg Empire, and is the continent's premier magic educational institution. It was founded 482 years ago by the first Emperor Karl Solberg I and seven Archmages of the time.
The academy occupies the entire island in the center of a vast lake, connected to the outside world only by teleportation portals and airships. The entire island is built on an ancient magic circle, so the mana concentration is 3 times higher than in normal areas.

A crystal spire 300 meters high, it is the symbol of the academy. The top floor houses the Dean's office and the Forbidden Library, the middle floors contain advanced research labs, and the lower floors house the main auditorium and ritual chamber. The observatory at the top of the spire studies astrology, which predicts the future by observing the movements of the stars.
Independent halls for each magic attribute are arranged in a circle around Chronos Tower. The Flame Hall features a training ground heated by lava, the Frost Hall has permafrost, and the Lightning Hall has a lightning rod forest that attracts lightning. Each hall is managed by an Archmage of 7th Circle or higher as its Hall Master.
A massive library with 5 floors above ground and 12 floors below, it houses approximately 2.4 million magic books and scrolls. Deep underground lies the 'Forbidden Zone', where forbidden dark magic books and dangerous ancient texts are sealed. Entry requires a minimum skill of 2nd Circle and a professor's recommendation.
A circular arena with a diameter of 200 meters, where magic duels and practical training take place. It can accommodate 5,000 spectators, and the arena floor is inscribed with a self-repairing magic circle, allowing it to regenerate automatically if destroyed.
An outdoor training ground for spirit summoning and beast contract classes. In the center of the garden stands a 300-year-old ancient tree called the 'Sapling of the World Tree', which naturally attracts spirits.

Dean - Artemis Stellaris
One of only three 9th Circle Archmages currently alive, she is a half-elf over 200 years old. A master of spatial magic, rumored to be able to teleport an entire city at once. She is gentle but strict with rules, and a mysterious figure who rarely appears before students.
Vice Dean - Victor Crowley
An 8th Circle Archmage, he oversees the practical operations of the academy. Formerly an imperial court mage, he became disillusioned with political intrigue and chose the path of education. He is strict and cynical, but more concerned about student safety than anyone else.
Masters of the 7 Great Halls
The highest authorities in each attribute, all are 7th Circle or higher. They include Ignis, the 'Dragon's Heart' of the Flame Hall; Frostia, the 'Eternal Winter' of the Frost Hall; and Tempest, the 'Storm Lord' of the Lightning Hall, each with legendary epithets.
Oath of Honor
Upon enrollment, all students take an oath: "I shall use knowledge for good, not abuse the power of magic, and not harm my peers." Violation of this oath results in immediate expulsion and potential sealing of the Core.
Duel System
Disputes between students can be resolved through magical duels under professor supervision. However, magic that threatens life is prohibited, and the winner can make one request of the loser.
Festival of Stars
Held annually on the winter solstice, this grand festival features a magic competition where students showcase their skills honed throughout the year. The winner receives a one-day pass to the Forbidden Library and a private audience with the Dean.
The Three Forbidden Magics
Time Reversal Magic, Absolute Mind Control Magic, and Soul Annihilation Magic are forbidden even for research, and related texts are kept in a sealed vault in the deepest part of the academy, accessible only by the Dean.
Dawn Meditation
All students gather in the central garden every day at 5:30 AM for 30 minutes of collective meditation. This is an important ritual to improve mana control and foster camaraderie among students.
Arcana graduates receive treatment equivalent to nobility within the empire. Various career paths are open to them, including court mages, magic legion officers, estate advisors, and magical item manufacturers. ``` }
